A site that earns its keep instead of sitting there.
Most business websites are not slow because of the images. They are slow because they were built on a template that ships forty plugins to render eight sections, and they do not convert because nobody could edit the copy without filing a ticket. Custom website development fixes both, and it is cheaper to maintain than it looks.
This is for you if
- You are paying for traffic that lands on a page you would not click on yourself
- Every copy change goes through an agency, so the copy never changes
- The site is fast on your laptop and unusable on a phone on mobile data
- What you need is closer to an application than a brochure — accounts, dashboards, calculators, portals
It isn't, if
- You need a single landing page by Friday. A template will do that better than we will, and we will point you at one.
- You want the cheapest possible site. We are not that, and a cheap site rebuilt in eighteen months was not cheap.
- Nobody on your side can own the content. A CMS with no editor is a slower way to have a static site.
What actually happens.
- 01
What the site is for
One measurable job — enquiries, signups, bookings, applications. Everything after this is judged against it, which is what stops a website project turning into a redesign nobody can evaluate.
- 02
Wireframes and flows you approve
Structure before styling, so the argument about layout happens while it is still a cheap argument. You sign off before a line of production code exists.
- 03
Built, with the CMS wired in
Next.js and TypeScript, with content modelled so your team edits real fields rather than fighting a page builder. Shipped weekly to a staging URL you can open at any point.
- 04
Core Web Vitals, then launch
Measured on throttled mobile, not on a desktop connection. Then DNS, redirects from every old URL, analytics, and a handover that includes how to add a page.

Why not WordPress?
For a content site with a team that already knows WordPress, it is often the right answer and we will say so. What it is not good at is anything with accounts, permissions, or real application logic — that is where the plugin count starts climbing and the performance and security bills arrive together.
Can our team edit the site afterwards?
That is the point of wiring in a CMS rather than hardcoding the copy. Content editing is handed over with the site, and if your team cannot use it, we modelled it wrong and will fix it.
What about SEO?
The technical half is part of the build, not an upsell: clean URLs, canonicals, structured data, sitemaps, and performance. The ongoing half — keyword research, content, link acquisition — is a separate engagement described under SEO services.
Do you redesign existing sites?
Yes, and a rebuild that keeps your URLs and redirects the ones that change is the difference between keeping your rankings and starting over. That mapping is done before launch, not after traffic drops.
